Evan Villaflor's CV

Through Digital Media I was able to create and explore deeper and meaningful Artworks versus what I was able to accomplish with Acylic and Graphite. Within my various artworks I have been exploring themes of emotion and the different hardships that one may come across or experience within their lifetime (Weight Gain/Loss, Communication with Specific Others, Overload in work, Depression, Anxiety etc). Most of my work will include Words, Repetition, Glitches, 3-D Models, Yin and Yang balance, and subject matter that people usually don't talk about. I express them through Digital media Art and Video.

Influenced by artpieces from Roy Lichtenstein, Barbara Kruger, Andy Warhol, Edward Ruscha, James Rosenquist and Frida Kahlo. Art movements like Pop Art in the 60s, Activist art in the 90s to Contemporary arts in the 2000s and Political Protest from 2010 to 2020. To designs and inspirations from different cartoons, comic books, video games, manga, animations, animals, other cultures and identities. You'll either find straight sobering thoughts or warm filled joy/comedy in my artwork as I try to relate to as many people as possible through this connection we all now have Online. I want everyone to feel the emotions and experiences I have had, living here in California.

This video was made as a reminder to constantly Love Yourself, to continue to work on what makes you most passionate and to grow on your strengths. All in all, if you can relate to this in anyway, than this Art Piece is completed.

    Alternate Reality Video, using a printed 3-D Model.


    The first plastic MicroQuill ever created was a prototype by Evilan Verliner in 1876. A German-born inventor. . .
    The MicroQuill used this idea of combining a poormans Microphone or Transducer and placing it onto a plastic Quill. The sound waves given from a persons voice vibrated through the Quill creating text lines or objects on a paper.

    Now considered an older controller compared to "Sony's" Playstation 4's controller or Microsoft's Xbox One controller. The fightstick is the main controller that was used in Arcade Games that go all the way back to the 1970's.

  • "HappyLoveSadCash"

    "HappyLoveSadCash" deals with those people who find love in something they like doing and not for the reason of gaining cash. While those who fall into wanting only cash are those who are actually locked up inside. People are freed when they focus on other things besides gaining money. Other people are super focused on gaining money and that is eathing them alive.
